ATMIA Announces ATM Conference in Sydney, Australia

Twelve months after Australia introduced direct charging into its national payments network, the Asia Pacific chapter of the ATM Industry Association is convening a one-day conference to review the success of the new pricing regime.
 
In addition, the conference will discuss the impacts of new and evolving PCI security standards.
 
The event “Direct Charging – One Year On – And other ATM Industry Issues” takes place on 17 August 2010 at the Marriott in Sydney’s Harbour Circular Quay.
 
In addition to a comprehensive analysis of Direct Charging in Australia, other highlights of this one day industry event will include:
  • A Government Relation Committee breakfast meeting will discuss the outcome of the Productivity Report and current regulatory issues.
  • Insight into the debit and credit card usage in Australia over the past 12 months
  • Latest report for the industry on PCI and EMV standards for ATMs: Is Australia ready for the mandated security requirements regarding EMV chip card issuing, EMV chip card acceptance and ATM EMV acquiring?
  • A professional analysis on the long term future of cash.
  • A look at Fraud Prevention in Australia.
