Mike Lee joined ATMIA in 2000 and was tasked with setting up ATMIA Europe. In June 2003 he founded the Global ATM Security Alliance. He has also established chapters in Australia, South Africa and Asia. In 2004, he won ATMIA’s member-voted award for Best Contribution to Promoting the Interests of the ATM Industry.He was promoted to CEO in 2005. Mike has a Master of Arts degree from the University of Cape Town, as well as post-graduate qualifications in education and theology. He is currently registered part-time for a MPhil degree in Futures Studies at the University of Stellenbosch business school in Cape Town. He is married with two teenage daughters.

Sharon Lane joined ATMIA in May of 2004, in the accounting capacity, and was promoted to her current position in 2005. Sharon’s responsibilities include the association’s financial management, human resources and membership services to over 1250 members worldwide. As Global Director, Finance and Member Services she guarantees that the values of ATMIA emerge stressing the importance of retention of current members and caring for their needs in the industry, in addition to helping new members with their needs. Prior to joining ATMIA, Sharon taught QuickBooks classes at Killian College; worked at First Bank as a Trust Conversion Specialist; Accounting Manager for a medical clinic and served as President of her Church.
Dana Benson - Director of Conferences & Sponsorships

Dana Benson began planning ATMIA events in 1999 and is the Director of Conferences. She is responsible for overseeing and budgeting of the conferences, venue selection, marketing, event logistics, sponsorship/booth sales. Dana watches the overall profitability of each ATMIA Event and ensures that a quality experience is provided to all attendees, exhibitors and sponsors. Prior to joining ATMIA, Dana was the Marketing Director for the Sioux Falls Family YMCA.

Amanda Hardy is Director of Marketing, Europe for ATMIA Conferences. Prior to this post, Amanda was Head of Sponsorship and Advertising for London-based SMi Group. Amanda has 13 years experience is advertising and sponsorship sales in radio, outdoor advertising and print.

Amber Howell joined ATMIA in 2004 as a Marketing Assistant and was promoted to a Marketing Manager in 2006. She focuses on marketing the conferences and registrations for events, ATMIA newsletters and the website. Prior to joining ATMIA she has worked within the Banking Industry for 5 years.
Graham McKay - Executive Director, Europe & Middle East

Graham joined ATMIA in March 2004 as the Executive Director ATMIA Europe, and has been responsible for both considerable membership growth and the expanded status of ATMIA within the European Banking Institutions.
Prior to joining ATMIA, Graham was named Sales and Marketing Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Diebold International Ltd., covering both security and managed services for the financial sector.
Mckay has a degree in electronics, is a Chartered Engineer, and has subsequently expanded this with a Masters degree in Criminology.
Sandra Smith - Executive Director, Asia Pacific

Sandra Smith joined ATMIA in 2006, as Marketing Manager and has recently been promoted to Executive Director for Asia Pacific.
Sandra has been involved with the marketing of ATMIA membership for Australia and the Asia Pacific region. She is also involved with industry issues specific to the Australian market and handles member's enquiries.
Before joining ATMIA, Sandra worked for Mitsubishi Australia and was involved with the international marketing of chemicals.
Sandra has studied marketing and business at Monash University.
Brian McLean - Executive Director, Africa

Brian McLean was a career banker for over 36 years with the Standard Bank before joining ATMIA as the Executive Director for Africa in January 2006.
Brian's first post was in the bank's London office but, having been born and brought up in Kenya, he nurtured a desire to return to Africa and was relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa in 1975.
Standard Bank introduced ATMs into South Africa in 1981 and Brian was involved in the channel from its inception until his retirement from the bank in 2005.
Brian is delighted to continue his passion for ATMs via his role within ATMIA.
Alan Townsend, MBE - ATMIA Security Advisor

Alan joined the Metropolitan Police Service in 1976 and became a full time investigator in 1980 serving in a number of London's busiest areas. During his service he served tours of duty with specialist branches including Anti Terrorism, Major Incident Teams, Child Protection and the Flying Squad; he retired from the police service in 2006.
Alan was responsible for founding the ATM Security Working Group (ATMSWG), which was formed to consider crime and security issues relating to the 'stand-alone' or 'freestanding' type of ATM operated by Independent ATM Deployers (IAD) in the UK.
In 2006 Alan was engaged as the ATMIA Europe Security Advisor and since that time he has edited a number of ATMIA security guidelines, assisted in arranging the SEC series of ATMIA conferences and been available to members for general security advice.
